A Motorcycle Odyssey Through Africa

The year was 1973. There wasn’t a handbook on how to cross the vast, trackless, Sahara Desert by motorcycle or how to navigate the wilderness of the uncharted central African jungle. These are stories of a unique and difficult adventure that took place in the twilight of overland travel in Africa. Borders were still open, and the wars for independence and the tragic spiral of violence caused by regional and tribal conflicts, had come to a temporary hiatus.
